Kevin Mumford is an economist who studies the impact of laws, regulations, and government programs in education, labor markets, and personal finance. He has also made important contributions to the literature on the measurement of national wealth. His work has been published in leading economics journals, including the American Economic Review, Review of Economics and Statistics, American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, Management Science, and the Journal of Econometrics.
Professor Mumford joined the Department of Economics at Purdue University in 2007. His teaching has primarily been in econometrics, economics of education, labor economics, and public economics at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. He is currently serving as Associate Dean of Graduate Programs in the Daniels School of Business and as the Kozuch Director of the Purdue University Research Center in Economics. He previously served as Co-Chair of the Daniels School of Business Transition Steering Committee and as Director of Undergraduate Programs in Economics.
